When you’re hitting the ball hard, here’s the golden rule:
Aim for big spots—not the lines.
Why?
Because with power comes risk.
And the risk vs. reward just isn’t worth it when you're going for the sidelines.
A missed shot, a bad line call, or even just an off-balance swing—and you've blown a great opportunity trying to make a highlight reel play.
In today’s drill:
We use two sets of water bottles as targets:
-
Sideline bottles = where not to aim
-
Center court bottles = your true target
You’ll quickly see how many shots go out when you aim too close to the edges.
Once it clicks, you’ll naturally shift your aim to high-percentage zones—and can remove the sideline markers altogether.
